The course will look at how to move your floral displays from the basics onto the next level. You will be taught a variety of techniques and be given time to practise what is learnt using flowers and foliage in the classroom, honing your skills and experimenting with ideas and designs. You will look at modern designs and how these have changed with time. Specifically in the course you will look at making a posy, a long table arrangement and a tied posy as well as one other project to be decided in the group., , By the end of the course students will be able to:, , - Choose, cut and condition flowers and foliage which is suitable for a variety of floral displays; , - Use a variety of containers and incorporate accessories into displays;, - Apply techniques to ensure flowers last longer;, - Create a floral arrangement based on inspirational modern ideas. Everybody is welcome to join this course provided they have completed a beginners floristry course.
