Develop your Painting - Application Techniques

This course will help you to develop your handling and application of paint in your artwork. You will explore different methods of applying paint, e.g. using a palette knife, scumbling, sgraffito, to achieve different effects, and look at the work of a range of artists who use these techniques. We will work in acrylic paint., , By the end of this course, you should be able to:, , • Demonstrate the use of a range of paint application techniques successfully, • Select appropriate techniques to use, • Draw on the work of various artists to inform your work, • Sucessfully review and evaluate your own work, , , There is no set 'homework', but you will get the most out of the course if you have time to do further work at home., There is no qualification for this course, , This course is suitable for beginners and students with some experience who would like to work on developing their own projects and improving their core skills.
