History of Jewellery

Over 20 weeks the course will survey a variety of important and influential International artists. It will concentrate on their individual lives, cultures, artworks, influences and inspirations. Art mediums will cover painting, sculpture and mixed media. All periods of art will be examined but with particular emphasis on Modern, Post-Modern and Contemporary. Cultures and artists to be explored will include those of Russia, Africa, Europe, the Americas and the United Kingdom., , By the end of the course students will be able to….., , , • Demonstrate a knowledge of different artists, , • Recognise the distinct visual language of individual artists., , • Identify specific cultural influences relevant to individual artists., , • Develop and justify their point of view, , • Take part in discussion with other students, The absolute beginner and the more experienced artist, to encourage the shared experience of art.
