At The Beaney, with artist Clare Langlands, you will enjoy developing your drawing skills through a series of engaging art activities and mini projects. With the museum's fascinating collection as a source of inspiration, you will be shown how to use materials such as pencil, pen, chalk and ink to explore a range of different ideas and themes. The sessions are designed to make the process of learning how to draw, or furthering existing drawing skills, both accessible and fun. Course will run on the following dates: 21/2/17, 28/2/17, 14/3/17 and 21/3/17., , By the end of this course you should be able to:, , • Sketch and draw with increased accuracy and confidence , • Experiment with different drawing materials , • Make drawings which engage with a concept or theme, • Generate ideas for further drawing using the Beaney collection as a resource., • Begin to develop your own drawing style, , There is no 'homework' for this course, but you might like to research artists and ideas referred to on the course in your own time., , There is no qualification for this course. This course is for beginners and those with a little experience of drawing.
