Seascape Photography

This course is aimed at photographers of any experience but students must have a DSLR or advanced Bridge Camera. This course focuses on composition and metering techniques in order for students to grasp the complexities of seascape photography. It will give them some of the skills required to spot a good picture and be able to use a variety of metering and focusing techniques to capture it the way they wish to. This session starts on location (to be confirmed) and then transfers to the classroom in the afternoon where students will be given the opportunity to download work for group review. Specifically, we will be looking at how to capture reflective lighting as well as how best to use long exposures., , Course Aims, To produce a series of seascapes, To be able to use and adjust Aperture settings in order to maximise the effect of Depth of Field, To be able to frame and compose seascapes, , There is no qualification for this course., , There is limited parking on site, but there is a public car park nearby and on-street parking. Entry requirements

Please do not buy anything especially for this course before it starts. All students will need either a DSLR or advanced Bridge Camera (with Aperture Priority, Shutter Priority and Manual settings - A,S,M on the mode wheel) as well as USB cable or card reader. If you have a tripod then this would be very useful, although not compulsory. As the course might be at a location (TBC) that is not easily accessible by public transport, you will need your own transport.
