Watercolour - Beginners

This is a structured course of practical projects, with a step by step approach, exploring a watercolour method or technique. You will learn to use various watercolour techniques, e.g. wet into wet, lifting out, stippling, wet on dry, how to mix and use colours using basic colour theory, and learn about different brushes and thier uses., , By the end of this course, you should be able to:, - use various watercolour techniques, - mix colours using basic colour theory, - select and use appropriate brushes, - work to relevant Health and Safety guidelines, , There is no set 'homework', but you are welcome to practise and do further work at home., There is no qualification for this course., , , , There is limited parking on site, but there is a public car park nearby and on-street parking. Absolute beginners or those with a little experience.

Entry requirements

If you are a new student and have no materials please wait for your tutor's advice on what to buy. However, all students should bring an A4 sketchbook of good quality cartridge paper and a pencil.You will need to provide your own materials and these will vary in cost according to the course requirements. If you already have any materials/equipment that might be appropriate, please bring them with you to the first session.
