This new Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training qualification replaces the Level 4 Certificate in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector (CTLLS), The Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training QCF aims to develop practical teaching skills and prepares teachers to work in a wide range of contexts. The qualification will give you the necessary understanding of the roles and responsibilities of a teacher in relation to aspects such as:, • Legislation, • Equality, • Diversity, • Inclusivity, • Meeting the needs of learners., The qualification includes the use of initial and diagnostic assessments and requires you to plan and deliver inclusive teaching and learning, carry out assessments of and for learning and use resources effectively., The qualification can meet the needs of a range of trainee teachers, including:, • Individuals who are not currently teaching and training but who can meet the practice requirements, including the observed and assessed practice requirements, of the qualification, • Individuals who are currently teaching and training who can meet the practice requirements, including the observed and assessed practice requirements of the qualification, • Individuals currently working as assessors who wish to achieve a teaching qualification, You must have a minimum of 30 hours of teaching practice/experience as part of this qualification to meet the requirements above., Anyone interested in teaching within the Adult Education system.
