With this course, you will learn about the craft of scrap quilting and will aim to produce your own patchwork quilt, to an original or traditional design, using your own special fabrics. We will look at a variety of work and designs by leading quilt artists, as well as some older examples, and will use these sources as inspiration for original designs, block motifs and colour work. You will learn how to make up a patchwork block and how to join a number of blocks into a larger quilt topper. You will then be able to back and edge your quilt to produce either a blanket or hanging style quilt., By the end of this course you should be able to, Describe and explain the techniques and process of block patchwork quilting, Generate original block and border designs, Design and plan a block quilt, Produce a complete, edged, multiple layered quilt from topper, batting and backing,
