On this course you will be introduced to the basic drawing principles and techniques involved in drawing people. You will develop confidence in drawing the clothed human figure from observation, through guided practical exercises using different media. You will work from the clothed model, one another and make self portraits concentrating on proportions, line, tone and structure. We will also draw inspiration from the approaches of a variety of artists from different cultures and periods including contemporary painters., , By the end of this course, you should be able to:, , • Draw more accurately from observation, • Draw people using line and tone to create form, • Use a range of different drawing materials, • Distinguish between different types of figure drawing , • Develop analytical skills to evaluate your own work , , , There is no set 'homework', but you are welcome to practise and do further work at home., There is no qualification for this course., , , , There is limited parking on site, but there is a public car park nearby and on-street parking. This course is suitable for absolute beginners, beginners and those with a little experience.
