Do you want to speak French more fluently and accurately? Then this highly interactive French Advanced - Parlons français course in Canterbury is for you. , Please note this course runs every other week., The aim is to give students the opportunity to consolidate their knowledge of the language and culture through interaction with the other students and tutor., A range of different topics will be introduced and suggestions and ideas will be discussed at the beginning of the course to make sure students talk about subjects they really care about. The topics could be linked to those covered in other languages classes the students also attend., The course is quite short but by the end of the 5 weeks students should be able to , - take part in a discussion with native speakers with a good command of the language , - use register and colloquial expressions appropriate to the situation and topic., - obtain detailed information, ideas and opinions from a variety of sources., - gain a more in- depth socio-cultural knowledge of the country where the language is spoken., , , There is limited parking on site, but there is a public car park nearby and on-street parking. For those who have either studied the language for approximately 300 hours or have completed year five or have studied at AS or A level., To join the course students should already be able to , -seek and respond to ideas ,opinions and information on a wide range of topics,using a variety of language structures , - understand with great ease newspaper/magazine articles, conversation etc., - use some colloquial expressions and appropriate language register., - Have some degree of fluency and accuracy in pronunciation/intonation ,choice of vocabulary and grammar., - use a variety of tenses ( subjunctive, passive ) and direct/indirect speech ., Please note this course involves some reading and note taking., , If you are unsure carry out our self-assessment test available on www.kentadulteducation.co.uk or speak to
