Pilates - Improvers

Pilates is a form of body conditioning that builds core strength that concentrates on building strength from the core of the body. It can help improve posture, muscular strength, mobility and breathing technique. A variety of exercises are preformed, flowing smoothly form one to the other whilst focusing on technique and control, unlike many other body conditioning techniques. Pilates focuses on working with a mild engagement of the core muscles in order to be effective. For adults who have attended Pilates classes/courses previously and wish to build on the what they have previously learnt.

Entry requirements

Please read the following information carefully. You may be advised not to take part if you are not dressed appropriately. You will need supportive, comfortable clothing that allows ease of movement. Denim jeans, formal trousers, skirt or dresses are not suitable for this activity. Most people practice Pilates in socks or bare feet. Students need to have a mat to work on and may wish to bring a towel. Please bring water and avoid eating one and half hours prior to exercising.
