Computerised Accounts) City and Guilds Level 1 Award course in Ashford is for you., , The qualification has been designed as an introduction to bookkeeping practice. It aims to provide you with a fundamental understanding of the principles of double entry bookkeeping in the context of both manual and computerised processes., , On successful completion of this course, you will be able to:, , - Check and process documents involved in financial record keeping, - Develop skills to carry out routine bookkeeping processes, - Develop underpinning knowledge of bookkeeping principles, - Prepare statements as a preliminary to financial control, , **PLEASE NOTE: Regular attendance, a high level of commitment and approximately 2 hours of home study is a requirement from you, enrolling on this course.** This course is aimed at those who are new to the skills and knowledge required of bookkeepers. It is suitable for students studying in preparation for employment in bookkeeping roles and also those who are already employed in bookkeeping and/or data processing roles. Please note that you should be able to follow spoken and written instructions, read handouts/exercises and take part in group discussions.

Book (approx £25) and optional training software package (approx £35) - your tutor will advise you at the start of the course. You will also need a calculator (not one built into a mobile phone), a notebook, pen, pencil, eraser, ruler, highlighter and correction fluid or tape. Please also bring a pen, notepad and a ring binder for notes on handouts.
