Our Tai Chi classes are open to anyone who would like to improve their fitness and health and enjoys group exercise classes. This course is an Advanced Class and is only suitable for students who have been practising Tai Chi for one year or more. , , You will learn and perform a variety of Tai Chi sequences and exercises aimed at improving muscle tone, strength and flexibility. , , You will need to be able to follow verbal instructions, observe and copy physical movements and use spatial awareness within a group. By the end of this course you should be able to:, • Explain the philosophy, history and terminology of Tai Chi, • Demonstrate the form using correct alignment, • Identify the benefits of regular Tai Chi practice, • Recount at least three ways in which Tai Chi can benefit health and wellbeing throughout various life stages., , To assist us in providing a safe and healthy environment for you to exercise you will be asked to complete a Confidential Health Questionnaire. If you have suffered from any of the conditions listed, please check with a medical practitioner to find out whether this course is suitable for you., - Do you ever have chest pain?, - Have you had any operations or injuries in the last year?, - Do you often feel faint or dizzy?, - Are you on long term medication?, - Do you have high or low blood pressure?, - Do you have a bone or joint problem, such as Arthritis, Osteoporosis, back or knee problems? , This Tai Chi course in Dartford is aimed at anyone interested in exercise, keep fit and maintaining an active, healthy lifestyle. , ,

Entry requirements

Please read the following information carefully. You may be advised not to take part if you are not dressed appropriately. You will need supportive, comfortable clothing that allows ease of movement. Denim jeans, formal trousers, skirts or dress are not suitable for this activity. You should wear shoes with a soft sole.
