This course is a good introduction for anyone who is considering a career in teaching. On the course, you will study basic teaching theories and methods. For example, you will look at different learning styles; how to assess students and you will explore a range of different activities you can do with groups.Another important element of the course is a 'micro-teach' of 20 minutes which you will prepare and deliver to the rest of the group. You will be required to produce short written assignments on all the aspects of teaching that you have studied. You will have a good level of support from your tutor and mentors to help complete your written tasks. This course is aimed at people who:* Would like an introduction to teaching* Are looking for career progression into teaching or training within their area of work* Want to progress towards ATLS (Association Teacher Learning and Skills) and/or QTLS
