Tai Chi is a combination of relaxation and toning exercises, promoting harmony and health, balancing the mind, body and spirit. The movements are slow and deliberate and together can help to improve mental and physical wellbeing. At the end of the course students will be familiar with at least part of the Tai Chi Hand Form and have practiced movements to help improve their balance, strength, mobility and coordination. Your tutor will explain the benefits of Tai Chi and how you can apply them to your daily life. You will be recommended to practice the techniques regularly at home., , At the end of the course students should be able to: Explain the philosophy, history and terminology of Tai Chi; Demonstrate the form using correct alignment; Identify the benefits of regular Tai Chi practice; Demonstrate and explain Tai Chi relaxation methods., , It is worth noting that Tai Chi forms may vary as well of styles of teaching., , For students who have completed the improvers class or those who have at least three years experience in Tai Chi., People of all ages can do this course. People with varied health problems, such as joint/bone problems, stress etc' are welcome., Please note: Most exercises are performed standing up and moving around.
