This is a one year course leading to the OCR Art and Design Examination. All students follow a basic course in developing observational skills through directed practical research group discussion and individual tuition. There will be an opportunity to study in the following areas: drawing painting textiles sculpture graphic printmaking and critical studies. The coursework consists of 2 projects which can either follow the endorsed route (textiles drawing and painting 3 dimensional design graphics) or the unendorsed route (broad based). The work of relevant artists is studied alongside the practical work. The final project for the examination is set by the examination board and consists of practical work with a critical study of another artists' work.
