Boxing teaches discipline and self-confidence, focusing on developing movement, balance, co-ordination and endurance. Our Centre of Sporting Excellence Boxing Academy is run in partnership with the Lions Amateur Boxing Club in Brierley Hill. This means that you can take full advantage of the expertise provided by an Olympic Boxing Coach while you have a go at getting a recognised qualification under your belt. The Lion's club is equipped with great facilities for you to perfect your boxing skills and you will also study for a recognised sports qualification at Stourbridge College. You will also have the opportunity to compete in local boxing tournaments. To study at the Boxing Academy you will need to apply on line and you will also need to take part in a boxing training session as part of your application process. If you enjoy playing or watching sport, and you?re looking to improve your performance, or want to make a career in sport, then this course is for you. This course will introduce you to a side of the sports industry you may not have experienced before giving you an insight into the little things that make a big performance such as nutrition, psychology, fitness testing, injuries and sponsorship and promotion.
