Do you want to work in construction? This is a practical course where most of the work is hands on giving you the chance to develop new skills needed for work. If you're not sure what you're good at then this course gives you the opportunity to try any of the following: Painting & Decorating - paper techniques. Plumbing - installation of toilet, sink, and radiators. Bricklaying - mixes, setting-out and bricklaying bonds & techniques. Electrical Installation (basic wiring systems and lighting/power circuits. Plastering - fixing of plasterboards, beading and plastering/skimming surfaces. Carpentry & Joinery - hanging doors, fitting skirting-boards and basic joinery. Wall & Floor Tiling - tile cutting, setting-out, fixing, grouting. Construction Operations - general construction systems and operations.
