The Raspberry Pi is a low cost credit-card sized computer that plugs into a monitor or TV. It is designed to introduce people to how the principles of basic programming work using built in program languages (Python/Scratch).The most interesting feature of a Pi is to interact with the outside world. By connecting the device to 3D objects it can be used to make projects like weather stations intruder sensors and tweeting birdhouses!This course will allow people to get started by building and running small practical projects in hands-on classroom workshops to get you started in this growing area. What experience or skills do I need to join this course?Some previous knowledge of computing would be helpful What is the course about?You will:Learn how to plan a projectDevelop understanding of how basic programming can control real objectsMake objects perform tasks that are controlled from the computer For the first session you will need: Pen and notepad Additional costs and/or resources: There are no additional costs as Raspberry Pis will be provided for the sessions.
