This qualification will allow you to learn, develop and practice the skills required for employment in the travel and tourism sector. Throughout the year you will study a variety of units covering a wide variety of topics which may include: Interpersonal Skills for the Travel and Tourism Workplace Principles of Customer Service in Hospitality, Leisure, Travel and Tourism Retail Travel Services UK Travel and Tourism Destinations Promotional Activities in Travel and Tourism Worldwide Travel and Tourism Destinations Resort Representatives Travel and Tourism Support Services During each unit you will develop knowledge about the travel and tourism sector, and also carry out practical activities and role plays to give you the specialist skills needed in the industry. All the teaching staff on the course have worked in the travel industry and will bring this experience into the classroom. Also you will gain valuable work experience through trips and visits to industry to assist in make you employment ready. This practical, hands on course is designed to encourage you to develop the personal skills and qualities you need for work, learning and to help you achieve your full potential. You will learn through a variety of methods from practical, group work, worksheets and other class based activities with support, all aiding the learning experience & knowledge of travel. The course allows the improvement of interpersonal skills such as communication and teamwork.
