Learn how to import data from Word, clean up formatting and use conditional tests (IF statements) to meet the needs of customers.This course takes the Learner beyond simple formulas towards successfully managing the input, manipulation and output of text (as opposed to figures).At the end of the course you will be able to:Use Data Validation to ensure accurate and consistent entry of data.Nest IF statements to allow for multiple conditional tests.Use OR in conditional tests.Use AND in conditional tests.Import text from WORD and use formulas to clean up the formatting.Manipulate date fields.Prepare data for mail merge.You will be training on Microsoft Office 2010. Those responsible for managing text within Excel (e.g. database of clients, records management etc.). Attendance of Introduction to Formulas and/or a very good working knowledge of simple Excel formulas.This workshop is also perfect for new business owners or people considering starting their own business.
