This is a knowledge only qualification course where you will use an e-learning package and complete assessment activity electronically. There will also be an opportunity to attend workshops and meet one to one with your assessor in order to complete the qualification  The online e-learning material provided has been developed to provide the information you need to develop your knowledge and understanding to meet a specific range of learning outcomes.  These outcomes are also mapped to National Occupational Standards so you can be sure that what you are learning is relevant to the workplace and the role of an assessor. This award course is part of an integrated suite of qualifications for training, assessment and quality assurance (TAQA) practitioners. Name: Understanding the Principles & Practices of Assessment (distance learning) C&G L3 Award Qualification title: Award in Understanding the Principles and Practices of Assessment (QCF) Qualification type: Assessment The online materials have been developed to provide you with the underpinning knowledge you require to complete the qualification. The learning materials are mapped to learning outcomes required by awarding organisations to satisfy the requirements of the qualification. At the beginning of your course, you will be assigned a tutor who will be able to mark your work on-line and give you feedback and suggestions as you progress. Once completed, your work will be marked and internally verified. An external verifier from the awarding body will review your work before you receive your certificate. The visits from external verifiers only take place twice a year so there may be a delay in certification being awarded after you have completed your course. As soon as your certificate is received by Skills&Learning it will be forwarded to you. Assignments/Course work: eLearning plus an assignment and recorded professional discussion. You will negotiate a Personal Learning Plan with your tutor identifying the areas you need to develop; this will be reviewed at regular intervals.
