With the other learners in your class you will learn new IT skills in 4 modules:Word Processing (L2): How to use a software application designed for the creation, editing and production of largely text based documents.Spreadsheet Software (L2): How to use a software application designed to record data in rows and columns, perform calculations with numerical data and present information using charts and graphs.Presentation Software (L2): How to use software applications to produce effective presentations which include a combination of media (e.g. images, animation and sound) for education, entertainment or information sharing.Improving Productivity using IT (L2): How the use of IT tools and systems can improve productivity and efficiency of work activities in a variety of contexts.A variety of learning activities will be used on this course, including tutor presentation and demonstration, practical application of skills, individual and group work, discussions, Q&A, internet research, individual research and project work. You will also work through activity sheets and online resources designed to support the development of skills in each of the modules. Where relevant, your learning will enable you to develop skills and knowledge required for work. There may be vocational, specialist guest speakers or employers invited to share their skills and experience. Regular home study will be necessary to successfully complete this course. You will be supported to develop good study skills Your tutor will also support you to improve your English and maths skills alongside your learning of your vocational subject. This will include assessing your current skills and planning learning activities related to your subject that are designed to develop your skills in these areas. Name: ECDL Extra - BCS Level 2 Certificate Qualification title: Certificate in IT User Skills (ECDL Extra) (ITQ) (QCF) Qualification type: Assessment Examination dates will be given to you by your tutor at the start of the course and may fall outside of the scheduled class times. Examination(s): 4 mock tests and 4 formal online tests carried out in the classroom under exam conditions at the end of each module. You will negotiate a Personal Learning Plan with your tutor identifying the areas you need to develop; this will be reviewed at regular intervals.
