You will have 3 hours of teaching per week for 32 weeks. This will be one evening per week and will consist of the following: - Physics This unit centres upon heat and energy, electricity, waves, radioactivity and the universe. - Biology This unit develops ideas about health and body changes. It moves on to drug use and abuse, habitats and variations in species. This unit also deals with the impact of humans on the environment - Chemistry This unit examines rocks, fuels, polymers plant oils, the earth and the atmosphere.
Name: SCIENCE GCSE ADULT EVENING PROGRAMME Qualification title: GCSE in Science A Qualification type: Assessment Assessment is carried out both internally and externally. External assessment consists of 3 unit exams which contribute 25% each plus a practical ISA which involves an experiment alongside a short test (the final 25% of the GCSE). All written external exams are carried out in May-June. Internal assessments are carried out on a regular basis.
