The graphic design degree explores a range of visual communication related disciplines including the following: - Typography - Editorial Design - Branding and Corporate Identity - Advertising - Motion Graphics and Animation - Illustration - Interactive and Information Design You will also examine design history and the whole course is underpinned by research. The course gradually develops through progressive levels of specialism, aiming to reflect the individual students interests and strengths. The focus of the second year is the development of a range of professional skills and students are encouraged to undertake work placements, live projects and respond to competition briefs. In the third year, you will produce a significant body of work, based around a self-written proposal. Informed by your written thesis, this major project will culminate in your graduate exhibition.
