You will work in class on your industry knowledge and utilise your practical skills in our industry standard salon environment. You will develop your future career prospects too, as you take part in a valuable work experience programme. You will also explore various beauty related treatments and further develop your knowledge of the industry. Whilst on the course you can expect to cover the following: - Applying Make-up - Providing Facial Skincare - Providing Manicure & Pedicure Treatments - Providing Eyelash and Brow Treatments - Removing Hair using Waxing Techniques - Client Care in a Beauty-related Industry - Promoting Products and Services to Clients in a Salon - Working in a Beauty Related Industry - Anatomy and Physiology - Health & Safety It should be noted that you will be timetabled for additional work related activities that may be off campus. If you have not yet achieved a grade C (or above) in GCSE English and maths, you will be required to attend GCSE resit sessions (if you achieved grade D) or functional skills sessions (if you achieved grade E or below).
