Childcare and Education EYE Certificate level 3

The course comprises of 15 units that cover child development, child health, play and learning, how to observe children, international perspectives on childcare and early years as well as preparing for school readiness and how to help children develop emergent literacy and numeracy skills. There are two competency based professional practice elements carried out in different age ranges in settings. Learners are required to gain 750 hours in placement across two years of study. Also, some course work is externally assessed. (It is important to note that Awarding body rules state only two attempts can be made with externally assessed work and should a learner fail both attempts, they have failed the entire course).
