The course offers the opportunity to learn English whilst studying for a vocational qualification. You will attend English classes to achieve national ESOL standards in Speaking, Listening, Reading and Writing, Maths, ICT, Citizenship and Employability and Care classes to learn about working in Care. You will learn about babies, children, teenagers, adults and elderly people and how they develop, their needs, how to communicate with and support them, roles and responsibilities of working in Care, health and safety, safeguarding and how to work within a team. You will be expected to complete assignments to demonstrate the knowledge you have gained about the Health and Social Care topics to achieve the Care qualification. There is also an opportunity to undertake a Care placement.
