Over the two years you will cover aspects of stage management, lighting , Video content creation and mapping, and sound equipment, and you will learn the importance of how the areas work together. You will also look at production arts planning, the history of performance, health and safety and working for yourself in the industry. The structure of the course allows students to specialise in the areas which interest them most, such as stage lighting, stage management, scenery construction / set design or live sound. This really is a unique course in the region and sets you up for the growing live backstage sector Modules are assessed using a range of methods including practical assignments, written essays, projects and phase tests. This programme comprises 180 credits over 2 years with an option to leave after one year with a smaller qualification. If you don't currently have C Grades GCSE in Maths/English, you will be working towards these along side your main qualification
