GCSE Mathematics

The course is consistent with the requirements of the English National Curriculum for Mathematics. This course is aimed at learners who wish to achieve a grade C in GCSE Mathematics. What are the course outcomes? Students learn to: • Use and apply mathematics in practical tasks, real-life problems and within mathematics itself; • Use calculators and develop a range of methods of calculation; • Use algebra to express relationships and to model real-life situations; • Explore shape and space through diagrams; • Formulate questions that can be considered using statistical methods. Grades E to C are available at Foundation Level.
