Towards Independence

This course aims to develop your skills so you can be as independent as possible at home and in your community. You will work on individual goals which could include handling money, using public transport, communication skills (speaking/signing, listening, reading and writing), using community facilities, practical life skills and confidence. You will be expected to participate in a short residential visit as part of this course, where you can demonstrate your skills in a real life situation. The course is a mixture of practical skills and class-based sessions to improve your knowledge, skills and understanding and achieve your goals.
