Level 3 Diploma in Food and Beverage Service Supervision (QCF) is a technical level qualification that will prepare learners for a career in hospitality supervision and management. This qualification is based on national standards and is formally supported by a range of hospitality businesses and the Institute of Hospitality - a professional body recognised in over 100 countries with a responsibility for promoting quality standards and education across the breadth of hospitality sectors. This qualification is made up of 6 mandatory units that will develop the knowledge and skills in key areas of food and beverage service, including legislation, supervising of food and beverage service, food safety and promoting services and products. Learners must also achieve a minimum of four optional units. Learners can select units of interest which include barista skills, serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, preparing and serving wines and cocktails to name but a few.
