This one day course is ideal for staff responsible for or involved in creating a Food safety Management plan and HACCP and is ideal for smaller independent businesses and sole traders. It will help businesses ensure that their employees are suitably trained to an appropriate level. Swindon College and Swindon Borough Council are working in partnership to run this nationally recognised course, the CIEH Level 2 Award in Principles of HACCP. The course is a natural progression from the Food Safety level 2 and will help anyone working in catering or retail where food is prepared, cooked and handled to understand the principles and purpose of HACCP and to apply it correctly in their own workplace. The course syllabus includes: - What is HACCP and Why do we need to use it in the workplace? - Get a better understanding of ’ HACCP ‘words and become confident in using them - How to develop and construct a Food safety Management plan, HACCP plan, set critical limits and monitoring procedures. - Different types of Food safety management systems. (Safer food better business, Cook safe, Safe Catering) and how to use them.
