Mental health presents one of the greatest challenges to our society. With an estimated 450 million people worldwide suffering from a mental health problem, around a quarter of British adults will experience some form of mental health problem each year. While many elements of mental health are still not understood, having a good knowledge of the information that is available is essential in the care sector. This course is designed to provide individuals with an understanding of mental health problems and how to support them within their role. Delivered in the workplace, you will be provided with learner supported materials that will give you the knowledge and understanding required, enabling you to undertake the end of unit assessments. The learning materials are flexible and can be completed at a time convenient to you. You will also have the support of a knowledgeable assessor throughout the duration of the course who is available for advice and guidance.
