This course offers learners the opportunity to further enhance their knowledge, skills and understanding of the sport industry. Personal skills and qualities essential for employment and higher level study will be developed throughout the programme. Students will study a full range of units including Anatomy and Physiology, Fitness Training and Programming, Sports Psychology, Sports Development, Sports Coaching, Organising a Sports Event, Practical Team and Individual Sport, Sports Nutrition, Sports Massage and many more.

Name: Level 3 Pearson BTEC Extended Diploma in Sport (Development, Coaching & Fitness) Qualification title: BTEC Extended Diploma in Sport (QCF) Qualification type: Assessment Units will be assessed using a variety of assessment methods including written reports, practical training and coaching sessions, presentations using modern technologies (e.g. E-portfolios, videos, PowerPoint, prezzie) and visual displays. Each unit will be graded Pass, Merit or Distinction which will contribute to an overall double grade profile (e.g. PPP, MMM, DDD, D*D*D*). There will be a minimum of three assignments per unit.
