Our highly-qualified sports team have a great mix of experiences and specialisms including physiotherapy, fitness & coaching, sports development, and lecturers that compete at international-level. We support students through their studies, helping them to grow academically and personally. We equip them with the skills and knowledge needed to progress onto university or employment. Here at Writtle, students use the large estate as a focus for sport activities with easy access to facilities. Included in the estate are tennis courts, football, rugby and hockey pitches and a cricket square. The Recreation Centre on campus contains a number of health and fitness resources that students use in order to maximise their learning, including cardiovascular and resistance machinery with a free weights area, sports hall and squash court. Careers in sport are very diverse and cover many sectors including professional sport, coaching, sport teaching, management and outdoor pursuits. After completing their studies with us students get the opportunity to progress onto our sports degrees here at Writtle, whilst others will seek employment in the sports industry at various places such as leisure and health centres and sports clubs.
