On campus, we have a wide range of animals that students get access to during their studies. This strong level of practical experience enables students to become fully prepared for 'real-life' situations when entering the world of work. Species located on campus include: Reptiles Exotic Aquatic Companions Birds Yard animals The Titchmarsh Centre for Animal Studies also has a Dog Grooming Parlour and Dog Training Arena, and a purpose-built veterinary suite. We attract a wide range of people onto our animal care courses including school leavers and mature learners looking to study part-time. After completing their course, students can expect to progress onto an animal science or animal management degree here at Writtle. Alternatively, students can find employment within a variety of animal-orientated organisations including zoos, kennels and catteries, animal charities, veterinary practices, grooming parlours, and retail outlets.
