These two linked days are intended for those with modest photographic skills and experience who wish to develop their photographic ability in the cooperative framework of a group through demonstrations, workshops and fieldwork. The emphasis will be on planning what photographs to take, how to achieve good compositions, taking photographs and analysing the results. The course is intended to develop skills in using digital or film cameras to produce good photographs and, for those learners wishing to do so, to develop skills in the use of Photoshop software to produce good quality images from these photographs. Digital cameras are preferable as rapid production of images is very convenient for discussion. It would be helpful, but not essential, for those bringing digital cameras to know how to load their images into a computer and to bring the appropriate software to the course.
