4CKA7030A - History Of Lancaster Castle Lancaster Castle is one of the most iconic historic monuments of the North-West which until now has been largely closed to the public. As it receives renewed interest because of the greater public access now that it is no longer a prison it is an opportune moment to take a further detailed look at 'Gaunt's embattled pile'. In this course, you will learn about the history and development of the castle and some of its famous and infamous occupants. We will also take a closer look at those features that we can see for the first time now that more of the Castle is open to visitors.
