This course is run throughout the year and is based at various community centres throughout Redcar & Cleveland. The course includes gentle standing aerobic exercise, seated exercises using bands and light weights to improve strength as well as work on balance and coordination. Learners will work in groups and individually in a relaxed social setting to improve knowledge of health and wellbeing with an emphasis on diet, nutrition and exercise. Learners will also be given advice on weight management, progression of their personal exercise programme and a greater knowledge of exercise, nutrition and diet through discussion and practical demonstration. This is part of a wide range of health, wellbeing and exercise courses available through the year.
