Floristry - corporate design ideas - beginners/improvers

This two week class will cover 3 practical design pieces that would be very suitable for use in a corporate setting- such as an office reception, salon or restaurant. You will consider container use, and identify plant materials that are both appropriate to their location & the client's requirements. You will also cover important potential business skills such as buying, delivery, costing & pricing for profit. Week 1 will cover a practical design and costing & pricing, and week 2 will cover two co-ordinating design pieces.

Entry requirements

You will need to bring your own flowers & foliage for each session, and potentially some florist's materials that may not be covered by the basic fee. The approximate cost of these will be £20 per week. You will also need a pair of strong scissors with sharp blades and/or a pair of lightweight secateurs. You will need to bring materials to the first session of the course- and you will be contacted by letter in advance to confirm what these will be. If you have not been contacted within a few days of the start date of the class, please contact the Curriculum Leader for a materials requirements list.
