Learn some of the basic Yoga postures, which strengthen your spine. You will improve muscle tone, flexibility, increase energy levels, reducing stress levels and embracing the relaxation/ meditation at the end of the class. As your body relaxes all your muscles also relax except those muscles, which are used in the movements, so you can concentrate on the movement or particular muscle .
