Glasswork - fuse and shape

You will learn how to cut glass using a variety of glass of methods, and use a variety of glass fusing and slumping techniques to create unique pieces of glass art. You will use a range of fusing glass accessories to explore colour, form and texture and create samples of these techniques for reference in future glasswork projects. You will be able to create at least one fuse bowl or hanging panel.

Entry requirements

A small charge is included in the fee for basic materials and where appropriate a charge has been included for use of specialist equipment. Learners will be expected to purchase all drawing equipment, your own fusing glass and any other specialist glass required for projects. This will be discussed with the course tutor and will not be covered in the course materials fee. Please do not purchase anything before your first lesson unless requested to do so. No liability can be accepted for expenses incurred for a course cancelled/altered at short notice. Learners are welcome to bring in their own slumping moulds if they wish; these moulds must not measure more than 30cm in length, width or diameter.
