Professional Pastry Skills Level 2

Students learn through working a combination of real life working environment, skills sessions and theory classes. Units include: Health, safety and security; Effective teamwork, maintain food safety, Storing, preparing and cooking food; Preparation and cooking of bread and dough products; Preparation and cooking of pastry products; Preparation and cooking of cakes, sponges and scones; Preparation and cooking of hot and cold desserts; Preparation and baking of dough and tray bake products. Functional Skills requirement. To prepare you for a higher level course, employment or university you maybe e required to achieve a key skill qualification in maths and English equivalent to a level 2. Will attend GCSE maths and English.
