Patchwork - Focus on Quilt As You Go Techniques

Techniques included are Hand quilting from both sides, Quilting in strips self sealed stripes, Quilting in strips - self sealed log cabin, Basic edge to edge - techniques 1 2, Self contained strips as you go, Double sided block, Edge to edge - with front joining strip, Edge to edge - with back joining strip, Quilt as you go with sashing, and Finishing your quilt edges.

Name: Patchwork - Focus on Quilt As You Go Techniques Qualification title: Non regulated provision, Level 5, Economics Qualification type: Assessment We will cover: A discussion of colour and fabric choices. An explanation regarding the use of various specialist and basic equipment. Demonstrations, worksheet instructions and class member discussions. Extra worksheets on Moodle the college/student access pages. Possible exhibiting opportunities including maybe an end of year class exhibition. Entry requirements

Note pad preferably A4 lined. Writing equipment and ruler. A4 plastic pockets and file or integrated plastic wallet file. Sewing kit pins, needles, scissors etc. You will need 2-3 meters of fabric for the first term sampler quilt, please bring a small amount of 3 colours or patterns you might like to include in your work to the first class.
