Taking 3D Design will teach you the fundamentals of design and visualisation including sketching, recording and developing ideas to understand how to approach design to support making. Through a series of design and make activities and set briefs you will develop your understanding of the use of a range of materials and manufacturing processes for both commercial and one-off production. You will become familiar with major design movements and the work of other designers in order to broaden your appreciation of good design. There is an emphasis on preparing you for a career in the creative arts, developing a suitable portfolio to support your progression.
