This is a beginners course where learners will be introduced to different areas of media production. They will develop skills in video and sound recording and editing, explore animation and use of the internet. Learners will also explore digital photography and desktop publishing. Contents include: Developing video products Developing audio production Audio and Video editing Exploring digital photography Developing animation Desktop publishing software Job opportunities in creative media The media department regularly organises trips to games exhibitions, film festivals and visits to media institutions such as the BBC and Free Radio.
