To register your interest please contact Support Services: Broadstairs - 01843605062 (or email supportservices.broadstairs@eastkent.ac.uk) Folkestone - 01303 858300 (or email supportservices.folkestone@eastkent.ac.uk) Candidates gain the Professional Cookery Apprenticeship Level 2 framework qualification by completing and achieving: Competency Qualification: NVQ Diploma in Professional Cookery Level 2. Technical Certificate: Certificate in Hospitality and Catering Principles Level 2. Maths and English: Fulfilled by completion of Maths and English at level 1. ERR: Employment Rights and Responsibilities. PLTS: Personal Learning and Thinking Skills. All qualification elements must be achieved to complete the Apprenticeship framework. There are a number of mandatory units concentrating on food safety to be completed. Apprentices will be required to complete a number of optional units linked to specific skills requirements. There is an expectation that Apprentices will undertake personal study in order to demonstrate knowledge of the subject area, and compile a portfolio of evidence to demonstrate their competence.
