If you interested in becoming a traditional builder, then this is the best pathway for you. In order to work on your own unsupervised and have your own building firm you will need to complete a level 3. If you would like to use your skills on the Nuclear New Build, the recruitment of which is going to peak nationally in 2020 at around 14, 000, with 60% of those being in construction. You would need to ensure that you have a Triple Bar certificate, which allows you to work on site safely and the CSCS or CPCS health and safety card.
