Plumbing is a practical job that involves the fitting, service and repair of water pipes and heating systems in homes and businesses following technical drawings and plans. To become a qualified plumber and run your own business you will need to achieve a 3 plumbing qualification based on on-the-job experience. This course is ideal for candidates who want to work as plumbers or other related disciplines in the building services engineering sector. This qualification does not make candidates fully qualified plumbers, but it does form the first part of the qualification process before completing the performance elements in a work placement or as part of an apprenticeship.
